Sandy's Dayton, Ohio

Sandy's Dayton, Ohio

Dayton, Ohio was a Sandy's stronghold and incredibly, at fourteen locations, it had more Sandy's in the city than any other city in the United States!

Nick Weizman has great memories of Sandy's in Dayton and wrote I remember there was one in Dayton Ohio on Linden Ave. I was born in 1963,I must have been about six or seven at the time when we went there. My father took me there a few times.

Sandy's had great tasting food with an affordable price. They also had a large selection of food items. Those were the good times, when life was so much simpler. I think that if Sandy's were to be resurrected they would thrive with the original menus, they would give Mc Donalds, Long John Silvers and Captain D's a run for their money! Thanks for the memories!!!!

09/22/2010 ...Greetings! A native Daytonian here of 55 years. Two other restaurants you may have forgotten about that were here in the 70's were H Salt Fish & Chips and Arthur Treachers Fish & Chips. And if want to count Frisch's Big Boy and Godfather's Pizza as fast food, that's another two! By the way, Godfather's Pizza has been "resurrected" and a location is now situated in Huber Heights, OH. There were several Red Barn Restaurants around Dayton but I don't recall if they were in operation in the 70's or not.
