06/08/2008 ... I often check out the website for the updates as well as look over (study) the "older" material. Recently noticed something in the "WOC Radio 25th" section. Right at the top, just above the words "Going Forward With" there is written in pencil, "Grace Gill, Wilton Junction Iowa". I had never noticed it before. She was 2 years older than me and had a brother, Edward, who was my age. I often walked out to their farm about a mile from town. WHY is her name written on that document? A mystery.

I might mention also that I remember some of the people pictured throughout that "WOC Radio 25th" material - Paul Arvidson, Charles (Charlie) Freeburg, Harold Heath, E. Spurrier, Gus Wendt and of course George Sontag and Marge Meinert. These are all folks who gave me a little attention and encouragement when I was around the station. The interesting thing is they were "solid" radio people making the transition to television. A very interesting time to look back on. - WOC Alumni Ken Wagner Jr.
